This role empowered me to design or participate in over 100 emergency response exercises and log over 70 days providing incident command support on real world incidents. I truly enjoyed supporting the clients and stakeholders across countless organizations, while also enjoying a parallel career in the Army Reserve. My service time as an Army Officer has provided the experience of a second, rewarding career. I enlisted as a 31B/Military Police Soldier in 2005 before commissioning as an Engineer Officer through Oklahoma State Army ROTC in 2009. Since then I've had the privilege of leading amazing teams and serving alongside phenomenal people. This includes overseas stops in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom/Freedom's Sentinel 2014-15) and Kuwait (Operation Spartan Shield 2017). The satisfaction I've experienced in the military and emergency management fields led directly to my interest of pursuing the fire service. Fire/EMS is a "people first" profession from which I take tremendous work satisfaction. The team camaraderie and impact on the community we serve has made Fire & EMS the most rewarding stage of my professional career. City Of Katy
