  I have been in the home building industry since early 2005, and most of the time since has been with Masco Contractor Services in one capacity or another. I began in the cabinet department working as a designer / estimator at the home office in Daytona Beach, where I gained significant experience with closet, kitchen, and bathroom design. I spent almost two years working for Dawn and Hans DeKoning at Sunbright Designs, further refining my design, estimating, and sales skills. Sunbright Designs catered to an entirely different clientele than previous companies I had worked for, so I was exposed to custom home builders, high-end private customers, and local developers. I left Sunbright Designs in April of 2011 to return to the Masco family, this time as part of the Masco Home Services group. Since joining Masco Home Services, I have learned a great deal about home energy usage, energy efficient building practices, and home energy ratings. I currently hold a Florida Class II Rater certification from the Florida Solar Energy Center, and am in the process of filing the necessary documents to upgrade my certification to a Class I.
