Escorts transient aircraft to designated parking locations. Performs aircraft recovery, servicing, visual inspection, launch and EOR on transient tactical aircraft IAW applicable AF instructions and Technical Orders. Maintains aircraft support equipment (SE), forms and records. Provide aircrews with maintenance and supply support. Tows AGE equipment as required. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Ensures all transient aircraft servicing is performed IAW applicable technical data. Pre-position equipment/personnel and perform 100% foreign object damage (FOD) checks within aircraft parking apron taxi routes and parking area 30 minutes prior to aircraft arrival or departure. Completes reimbursement documentation IAW T.O. 00-20-5 for services provided to non- contracted authorized aircraft. Assists aircrews with securing of aircraft during inclement weather. Servicing includes aircraft parking, chocking, grounding, marshaling, towing, refueling, engine oil, hydraulic system and pneumatic systems. Performs operator care and servicing maintenance on assigned vehicles. Ensures all work areas are kept clean, neat, orderly and in a safe manner. Follows all directives concerning environmental laws pertaining to disposition of HAZMAT residue. Assist with replenishing liquid oxygen, gaseous oxygen and nitrogen carts to include required documentation. Understands the requirements for aircraft crash damage/disable aircraft recovery (CDDAR) and transient alert aircraft ground handling for tactical and large frame aircraft. Team member has the expertise to tow tactical or cargo aircraft as applied to crash recovery/transient alert.- Provided leadership and motivated 35 personnel in six different work centers which included vehicle maintenance, terminal cargo operations, transient alert, aerospace ground equipment repair, Supply, and aircraft fuels. - Maintained high standards of safety, security and customer service in accordance with Air Force policies. - Analyzed records of daily operations to maintain knowledge of activities. - Conferred and cooperated with upper management in formulating policies and procedures. - Ensured overall compliance as well as compliance of personnel with policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations. - Met operational performance targets as well as monitored and controlled the budget. - Recommended expenditures for new equipment. - Coordinated activities with local agencies when required. - Investigated causes of internal and external complaints. - Participated in conference calls and meetings. - Managed Crash Recovery Program for base and led C-12 crash recovery team.
