Prior to relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2007, I spent 15 years in Hong Kong working for several major international contractors on a number of high profile construction projects. I was the Engineering Manager on a D&B contract for an underground railway station and railway tunnels constructed by TBM beneath one of the most heavily congested urban areas in Hong Kong. I was the Engineering Manager for the construction of an extension of the Passenger Terminal Building at Hong Kong International Airport, where all works were carried out 'airside' and during normal Airport operations and I was also the Design Co-ordinator for construction of 11-km long railway viaduct using match-casting of deck box segments and erection by balanced cantilever and span-by-span methods.
