  After a great six-year commitment to the USMC, I went into the automotive industry for twenty plus years. I worked my way to positions of management including General Sales Manager. Even though I had a successful career, I have always felt like I wanted to be in a different field with more of an intellectual challenge, so I decided it was time for me to act on and old dream. I have always had a passion for computers and learning about what makes them tick. It was this dream that pushed me back to school and to get my degree in computer science. After attending IUS for two years, I finally decided what part of the IT field I wanted to pursue, and that is database development and security. Now I am junior at IUS and have enough credit hours for my associated degree but I keep feeling the need to learn more, so I decided to continue my education and get my bachelors degree instead. My major area of study is computer science/Informatics with a minor in math, because I just love the idea of taking raw data and turning it into useful and hopefully profitable information. I also have a love for the challenge of math and solving difficult equations. With this new acquired knowledge I am looking for an opportunity with a company who will recognize my previous career successes as well as my drive to learn more and become a professional in the IT field. So often we hear people speak the words that it is never too late to change or learn something new, and that is what I am doing continuing to evolve as an individual and professional in a new career field that absolutely love.
