I enjoy the responsibility of developing programs, projects and individuals; from my current role and previous post I have experience of developing and implementing strategy within a sports environment, including within a football environment as part of a county FA. I am currently working in the London Borough of Newham for Active Newham a Leisure trust as their sport and Physical activity development manager. Delivering a wide range of exciting projects targeted towards young people, families and hard to reach groups with the borough. I oversee the delivery of project source funding to deliver new engagement projects. Increase the number of Newham residents taking part in sport and physical activity. Manage Projects and programmes, organise activities and events, supervising coaches, instructors and volunteers; marketing and promotion. Maximise the commercial opportunities to provide corporate engagement services to an increasing number of businesses within East London. I manage a small team of permanent staff and a larger team of sessional coaching staff. I have experience being an FA coach mentor for two years advising and guiding clubs and coaches through the relevant workshops and coaching courses, ensuring all coaches maintain their licensed coaches’ club status. I have worked as an affiliated level 1 & 2 tutor for the FA.
