Laura Dev’s Expertise I teach and write about land, justice, and environmental conflicts from a political ecology perspective. As an interdisciplinary researcher, I have experience working internationally, allying with Indigenous peoples through participatory research practices and collaborations, engaging with nonprofit organizations, and coordinating research teams. Topics of particular interest are land defense, community forestry, more-than-human relations, and climate justice. My current book is about the interspecies entwinements that shape the ayahuasca economy as powerful medicinal plants from the Amazon become global commodities.
