Being innately curious got me into a myriad of topics — architecture, psychology, nutritional science, designing and art, space science, to name a few. Naturally, I had a hard time deciding what to major in at college. I settled on neuroscience due to its ties to psychology and biomedical applications. Then I discovered yet another interest of mine — coding and programming — right before my junior year started. I came across an Introduction to Programming with Python course on Youtube, and coded a Hangman game only 3 days after I started learning. I eventually decided to pursue a data science minor as well and found out there are many interdisciplinary industries which are perfect for the wide range of my interests. I realized even the seemingly unrelated topics overlap on the Venn diagram, and the sweet spot for me is psychotechology or neurotechnology. Fueled by my personal struggles with mental health, I'm passionate about leveraging technology in healthcare and therapies. My interest also extends to UX/UI design, where I can also incorporate my love for art and design. I thrive on innovation, excel in creative problem-solving, and possess a talent for generating and integrating ideas. My trilingual background and experience growing up in Japan, China, and the US enhance my adaptability and global perspective.
