Luis Calçada’s Expertise Luis is a Science Visualisation specialist with more than 15 years of experience. He has a degree of Physics and Astronomy from the University of Porto, Portugal. He started his professional career in the Planetarium - Centro Multimeios in Espinho Portugal, developing science visuals and producing planetarium shows. At Multimeios, Luis also co-develop software tools - Full-dome Plugin for After Effects - that have since become standard in the full-dome and VR production communities. He has then moved to Munich, Germany to work as a Data Visualization Artist at the European Southern Observatory, and has created visuals - illustrations, 3D animations, motion graphics - and participated in the production of a range of products: Press releases, documentaries, planetarium shows, real-time and VR applications. Luis has also co-founded Science Office, an award-winning science communication company that has produced a range of communication products - print, web, video, VR, - for such partners as the European Space Agency, German Aerospace Agency (DLR), Portuguese National TV - RTP, Platige Image, International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory.
