This course ran partly alongside my role as a repair engineer but it also gave me a lot of exposure to the installation side of the business. After completing my gas training I resumed my role as a field repair engineer but occasionally have days on installations to assist other teams when needed. I have also actively sought out additional training as and when it is available in things like smart home control installation (nest thermostats, Ring video doorbells etc.) and training on the repair of the businesses till systems in stores.
