Maarten Hogervorst’s Expertise Dr. Maarten A. Hogervorst received his PhD in physics from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands in 1996 for his work on visual perception. From 1996 to 1999 he worked as a research assistant at Oxford University (U.K) where he continued his work in this area. Currently he is working at TNO Human Factors as a research scientist. He has worked on perception of depth, tracking, human combination of multiple sources of visual information, object detection and recognition, workload assessment, low vision and published a range of papers. His current research interests include visual information processing, electro-optical system performance, search and target acquisition modeling, image quality assessment, image enhancement methods and human factors of camera surveillance systems. Together with Peter-Paul, Maarten Hogervorst is also owner of Intelligent Mobility Solutions B.V., an IT start-up assisting mid-large sized companies and their employees in their effort to reduce the number of cars on the road.
