During his time at EKU, Mark worked with the Music Department to develop the Foster Academy for Musical Excellence (FAME) Children's Choir and the FAME Musical Theatre Workshop. He served as director for three seasons. Mark is very active in community and professional theatre. Some of his favorite credits include "Charlie Brown" in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" and "Dennis Sanders" in "Smoke on the Mountain." Mark has performed at the Kentucky Theatre Association Conference, The Southeastern Theatre Conference, and with several theatre companies including Berea Arena Theatre, Jonesborough Repertory Theatre, and the Appalachian Regional Theatre Society. Mark has actively participated in the Music Ministry at several churches throughout central Kentucky including First Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church in Richmond, KY, Southland Christian Church and Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. Anxious to provide musical experiences for students in his hometown, he annually serves as choir director for the Music in the Mountains Choral Festival at Hazard Community and Technical College. Mark also teaches private voice lessons for several students in the area and feels very blessed to do what he loves everyday- sharing the joy of music with young musicians!
