While there he was instrumental in developing a succession plan for Appropriate Balance, leading to a successful merger between Viridian Advisors and Appropriate Balance Financial Services. While at Appropriate Balance his work centered around developing strategic direction and clarifying target markets, strengthening investment programs by introducing goals-based financial planning resulting in increased client satisfaction, and succession planning for the firm. Prior to Appropriate Balance, Mark was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer for Moss Adams Wealth Advisors. While there, he led the transition of a small boutique financial planning firm through merger and integration into a leading accounting and consulting firm well known throughout the financial services industry. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Washington, and has earned Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter professional designations.
