I also have significant experience of the Paleocene to Jurassic palynology and palynofacies of the Middle East. I have officially supervised two Ph.D. students to completion, and supported many Ph.D. and M.Sc. students in the UK, The Netherlands and Poland. I am also supporting lithostratigraphic and mapping projects on Cenomanian-Turonian and Santonian-Campanian sequences in Canada. I am a regular reviewer for numerous international journals and a past recipient of the Charles Downie Award for best paper from a Ph.D thesis. I was an editor for the Journal of Micropalaeontology for 6 years, and have been a visiting research fellow at Kingston University London. I am currently a director of the biostratigraphic consultancy Evolution Applied Ltd, and am the founder and lead Designated Partner of Palaeo7 LLP.
