Mat Polutta’s Expertise I have over 20 years of experience designing and developing software for both government and corporate clients. My focus is on the Microsoft technology stack, and includes architecture and development for Mobile, Web, Database, Services, and Search space. SECRET Clearance Mobile Experience: I began with Windows 3.1 on an early Tablet PC with VB2 and Windows Pen Computing Controls. For PDAs, I created both PalmPilot applications and Windows PocketPC applications. With Windows XP/Tablet PC and C#/ESRI maps and GPS/Inertia cubes, my team developed a near-real-time mapping/diagram system for showing soldiers and assets on a map. I have combined REST “.Net WebApi” services with AngularJs and Bootstrap to create adaptive single page applications (SPA), crossing the boundary between mobile and Web Applications and Services space. I have also used Angular 4 with Ionic 2-4 to create both iOS and Android applications. Web Application Experience: I started with classic ASP and VB while working with Scot Johnson (“Working with Active Server Pages”, Queue Publishing, 1997), continued with ASP.Net Web Forms and MVC, HTML 2-5, XML, CSS 1-3, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery-UI, Telerik RAD Controls, and finally AngularJs and Bootstrap. Database Experience: I began with IBM Mainframe using IMS, and then evolved to Relational Databases on Networked PCs with RBase and DBase, MS Access, Oracle DB (SQL) and MS SQL Server (including SSIS, SSRS, and BI). Services Experience: I began with PC based BBS systems (Clipper) and later UNIX FAX Broadcast systems running background PERL scripts. I developed TCP/IP Windows services (C#/C++) as well as LINUX background processes (C++) for LogRhythm's first product line and TCP/IP (and later XMPP) Windows services for NLETS application communication. I developed Web Services using ASMX, WCF, ASHX, and finally WebApi. Search Experience: I began with Microsoft Indexing, later used MS SQL Server Full Text Indexing and finally Autonomy IDOL Server.
