  Prior to my role as a Juvenile Probation Officer, I worked random jobs working my way through college, figuring out life. During this time I found my passion working with youth and young adults. At age 21, I was introduced to the Carson City Juvenile Detention Center where I started as a volunteer, working into an on-call position and finally, in January 2004, being hired on full-time as a Youth Advisor. It was there where my hope to become a Probation Officer came alive. I was hired in December 2006, as a Probation Officer and worked in that role until January 2017, and returning to the Detention Center until December 2017. From there I attempted a new career at a local Carson City Company- The Change Companies, as a Regional Sales Director, and realized that Juvenile Probation was in fact my love. I returned to the Lyon County Juvenile Probation Department in July 2018 and continue there enjoying my autonomy to go out and help the youth of that community. My greatest joy is experiencing life with my wife and two children. I love seeing them grow into the individuals Christ has created them to be. I enjoy coaching both children in soccer and supporting them in all of their other life endeavors. Audiobooks have become my new pastime. Of all of my hobbies this is my favorite. My hope is to be listening to a great fiction story or learning something new about leadership or the military while participating in other hobbies I have such as road/mountain biking, learning new soccer strategy, working out and working in my yard.
