  I am currently undertaking my PhD at the University of Salford ‘The brain drain effect caused by an inadequate digital infrastructure, with Venezuela being my case study. For over a decade Venezuela has experienced hyperinflation which has resulted in talented individuals migrating over to other Latin American countries. My focus will be on those who have migrated over to Colombia. The case study will primarily focus on Venezuelan residents who have successfully set up businesses in Colombia. My intention is to spend a year in Colombia doing observational work via shadowing, interview Venezuelan business owners and speak to Venezuelan residents. The research will highlight the consequences of an economy that has no digital infrastructure. I am proud to have achieved a First Class Honours in my Business and Economics BSc (Hons) which also included Spanish. I have also completed my MSc in Finance. I am also a seminar tutor in economics, tutoring for levels 3, 4 & 5 students. I have developed a passion in Economics and Politics which includes the UK and other countries around the world, such as Germany, Greece, Spain, Venezuela and Zimbabwe. Economic interests include the success of economies, why they are successful, emerging and developing economies and furthermore the impacts of political and social unrest that have caused their economies to thrive or deteriorate.
