At age 16 I started a marketing company, at age 18 I started college, at age 19 I started going to the gym 6 days per week, and at age 20 I started training to become a dog trainer, at age 21 I started taking Krav Maga (a martial art). These are all intense and require massive amounts of dedication and discipline, but what's important is, I have no external push to do any of these things. All of these things I do, I push myself to do, to ensure that I am always a better man in my career, education, and health today than I was the day before. 3. Mental Toughness - Starting a marketing business at age 16 I faced a very unpleasant amount of rejection, this never stopped me though, and allowed me to forge a mentality of relentless determination. 4. Emotional Intelligence - A gift I was naturally given was my ability to read people's emotions. I can walk into a room and tell how an individual is feeling almost immediately. People have always been easy for me to read. This has consistently been helpful for me with sales because I can easily read how a conversation is going and adjust as needed. 5. Achievement Oriented - Everything I do, I do with a purpose. I am always closing in on a goal. One great teacher of this for me has been through the gym, whether it's a weight, physique, or new PR I'm chasing, I am always working towards a goal and I design my day-to-day work to be the most efficient pathway to achieving that goal. 6. Consistency / Dedication - One of my greatest high school achievements was having a perfect attendance record for all 4 years. This took sacrifice, dedication, and discipline. I wasn't the smartest one in the school, but I was dependable and reliable because everyone knew I would show up and when I gave my word, I followed through to the best of my ability every time.
