Matthew Graef’s Expertise Over the past eight years I have specialized in MRP configuration and inventory management in ERP systems. Doing trend analysis on usage date and creating individual item forecasts are also critical to understanding the mechanics to drive smart business decisions. In addition I had an opportunity to create different analysis tools to query data to reduce manual data review. I have been heavily involved with implementing two MRP systems one of them in SAP to manage all consumable MRO supplies from an MRO crib. With my experience in Excel I was able to leverage the help of a Business Intelligence developer who helped me create a custom-made exception/replenishment which kicks outs action message evaluating multiple conditions simultaneously. This results in a daily priority list other employees can work to with confidence. With a lot of testing, condition statements, and fine tuning we developed a tool which analyzes thousands of inventory records within seconds giving us valuable date and insight to help drive critical business decisions. I primarily have created my own tools utilizing Excel and Pivot tables to plot data for trend analysis. Production Planning: Currently I hold the position of Production Planner at BWXT where the majority of my time is devoted to reporting production labor status progress across all operations of all components working in production for the Medium Steam Generator program. The daily process is fairly lengthy and very challenging due to the level of detail needed to get correct status updates across these components. In this role I assume responsibilities which would be more in line with that of a Program Manager. I use Work Breakdown Structures frequently to assign costs for needed activities specifically goods issuance of an item to a production order. I frequently view BOM's and availability of raw materials and finished goods needed to complete the next production order. Order follow-up and completion of finished goods is a daily occurrence due to supply chain challenges. I am well versed using SAP, Sage 500, and Infor System 21 - specifically MRP and job costing variance reporting, inventory analysis, material managements, and warehouse operations. I have implemented a multi-bin software package to monitor and control placement of all on hand material and developed an "in-house" barcode system to facilitate picking and put-away. I have been involved with Six Sigma SPC analysis and process change along with Lean manufacturing concepts including implementing Kanban, 5S, 5 Why, Process Mapping.
