Michael Chainey’s Expertise I am the Lead quality tech for Brasseler USA. where I unify the quality department. I am responsible for receiving, in-process, final inspections, first article inspections, and in-house repairs and calibration of calibrated instruments. I have implemented and maintain the calibration system and am the keeper of all calibration records for calibrated instruments. I am also responsible for programming out RAM optical vision CMM. I also write reports and work procedures, participates in MRB meetings, troubleshoots and resolves key quality issues, writing and executing protocols, involved in defining process parameters, involved in power performance testing and implements continuous process improvement I am a machinist and a welder with an aerospace background in quality with an emphasis on destructive testing. I am Proficient at Rockwell hardness, tensile testing, stress rupture, micro/macro metallurgy inspection (sectioning, prepping and inspection). I also had training as a level 1 NDT for liquid penetrant. I was also responsible for the first article, in process, and final dimensional inspection along with being a buyer on Oracle. I am a hard-working, upbeat individual. I work well in stressful situations and busy, fast-paced environments. I am well-organized, always on time, and willing to work as much as I am needed. I am a fast learner and eager to learn new things and grow within my position and company. Specialties: in charge of Establishing a recall system for shop and quality gages, CMM programming, machining, outside of the box thinker.
