Help you develop product requirements and specifications. • Design one or more solutions, working closely with other engineers – mechanical, electronics, etc. • Prototype or help you prototype one or more solutions in hardware, suitable for initial evaluation. • Recreate one or more of these solutions in production-capable processes. • Support your engineers and vendors in the transition into production * Able to manage all aspects of product development cycle, starting from conceptual design and creating product specifications, process development, project management, metrology, DOE, component cost, and technical documentation. Practical experience with ISO-10110 optical drawing standards and with ISO-9000 qualified product development cycle. * Expert in optical system concept development, lens design, digital holography, spatial light modulators including amplitude and phase LCoS, diffractive optical elements, volume holograms, holographic optical elements, computer generated holograms, heads-up displays, near eye displays for virtual and augmented reality, light-field projection, coherent and laser optical systems, non-imaging systems including LED and laser diode illumination, projection light engine design, optical system simulation and experimental evaluation, color science, image processing, plastic and TIR optical elements, optical metrology including MTF and interferometry, optical alignment, aberration theory including Zernike polynomials, Fourier optics, and optical production quality control. * Extensive background in creating custom software for optical applications. Extensive use of commercial optical design and scientific software including Zemax, Light Tools, LightTrans VirtualLab, and MATLAB.
