A BSc(Hons) and a MSc in theoretical physics at the University of Cape Town. Frankfurt, because I wanted to work with a particular group of people in the direction described above. Hence a PhD at the Goethe University, followed by one and a half years of post doctoral research at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies, during which I had time to discover that Frankfurt is the third city I really love to live in.
