A few years later I moved into local government finance and administration and through a succession of moves I progressed my career to the position of Director of Finance and Administration with a rural council. After several years in that position I thought it was time for a change. I became a prison officer in a maximum security prison. When my involvement with the project came to an end, I moved to the Gold Coast, Queensland, and took the opportunity to travel to the United States. I then afterwards moved to rural NSW to be closer to family. I continued to develop my IT skills, and spent time designing and coding web sites. After spending time with my daughter and two granddaughters, I moved to the NSW South Coast to support my elderly mother and father. Later I moved to Nowra, and enrolled in a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Wollongong. Concurrently, I gained employment with RichmondPRA as a Mental Health Worker. In November 2017, to broaden my experience in the mental health support field, I commenced employment with Grand Pacific Health. I completed my B. Business Studies at Charles Sturt University in 2021 and I am now studying for a B. Data Analytics through University of South Australia. I have a keen interest in understanding business problems and implementing analytical solutions to solve them. I use SQL, Python or R, Power BI and Excel to undertake data analysis and create interactive visual dashboards.
