  For the past thirteen years I have been growing my career in Quality Assurance. I started out doing simple manual testing and from there have upskilled to be able to deliver comprehensive automation coverage for whatever I happen to be working on. I have used various tools and programming languages for test automation over the years but currently I primarily use Python and would highly recommend it for automation projects. Even though I have stayed in the Quality Assurance field, I have worked in many different sectors including enterprise data, transportation, finance, law, healthcare, and media. In addition, my experience ranges from being the sole QA member of a company to being one of hundreds. I have also worked on teams that vary in size from a couple collocated individuals to many people distributed internationally. With all this experience, I have gained a unique perspective on quality practices across different industries. I have been enjoying my time at S&P Global and would like to grow my career in the company, however, I am always open to new opportunities elsewhere that suit my career goals. One type of role I would like to target in the future would be a people manager role such as a QA Manager. As the Quality Assurance team lead for a core platform team, I have been responsible for interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring other Quality Assurance members. Another type of role I would be interested in trying out would be a Product Owner position. In the past, I have built utilities from scratch to help improve processes like data set up and environment configuration and feel like between that and my experience as a member of product driven teams, my skills would translate well to a product role.
