I started my career in the public accounting space with Wipfli and spent my first tax season in the field of public accounting auditing a few large manufacturing clients. I started working for CJBS in July of 2017. I did a little bit of everything that comes with public accounting. During tax season I did personal and business returns as well as compilations and write ups. I did audits of manufacturing clients in the 50 million dollar in revenue range. I have audited 2 cannabis companies. I also have completed the audits of a few non-profits including early childhood development and high schools. Additionally I have prepared audits and financials churches and other misc organizations as the in charge on the project. Currently, I work for Miller Cooper doing client accounting services. I do everything from external controller type work to fill in accountant type jobs. I have worked in more softwares in this role than most have in their entire career. I have learned so much about how the role of the accounting departments can function. I have even been able to start giving my recommendations on how accounting prolicies and procedures should be implemented to improve efficiencies and maximize internal control.
