Developed nanomaterials such as semiconductor quantum dots and homogeneous/heterogeneous coupled quantum dot, nano wires, nano rods and exploited their optical, magnetic and dielectric properties to make sensors, LEDs, actuators, batteries, super capacitors. Higlights: - Interfacial charge transfer in PbS/TiO2 , which opens up another approach to develop solar cell. Prototyped it as a green energy solar cell with a higher yield - Two Photon Excitation Fluorescence (TPEF) for bioimaging application of cancer cells - Nonlinear optical properties of PbS quantum dot systems and second harmonic generation - Demonstrated multifunctional properties of BFO (Bismuth Ferrite) for nanotechnology applications - Demonstrated antibacterial properties of Graphene Oxide and BFO. - Synthesis of nickel ferrite/graphene, polyaniline/BFO nanocomposite systems - Fabrication of conducting polymer polyaniline for high performance electrodes - Demonstrated coupled quantum dots for developing Nano Gates which are used in CMOS, NEMS etc. with a great prospect for quantum computation.
