Nathan Watson’s Expertise For the past seven years in the workforce, I have prioritized customer service and communication. I have utilized this skill in various industries; academic, retail and now the corporate world. I begun working in a small grocery store in a town of barely more than a hundred people in Southeast Iowa in late high school and learned I had a knack for speaking with people regarding work or just casual conversation. After graduating from high school, I took that experience and applied it to a new position at Des Moines Area Community; a work study position in the psychology department. While working for the psychology department, I assisted with creating activities and group assignments as well as various office assistance tasks. I also helped the psychology department start an Active Minds chapter, a collegiate organization that raises awareness regarding mental health among college students. After the first semester, I joined the Target Corporation in Ankeny, Iowa at the Guest Service Desk; accepting returns and handling all customer questions and concerns. I then relocated to the Kansas City Metro area in April of 2017 and shortly afterwards accepted a position with DH Pace Company, one of the largest commercial and residential doors and equipment service providers in the United States, working in the billing department. I have been with DH Pace for 3.5 years and now handle invoice submissions and interdivision communication throughout the companies many branches throughout the company. My various skills include very strong written and verbal skills honed by years of direct engagement with clients and customers and years of de-escalation training; proficiency in Microsoft Office and its various suites including Excel; proficiency in Microsoft Sharepoint including metadata editing; experience with Google Drive; proficient in the use of Square and other POS systems; strong analytical and research skills with great attention to detail; strong passion for solving problems, in and outside the box; and I work great in a team as I am enjoy helping others professionally and personally.
