  After the realization that I would never be an Olympic swimmer due to a bone density issue and lack of formal (swimming) training, I took it upon myself to look to the skies. Teaching fellow airman to stretch their minds in order to perfectly sequence a moving interweaving puzzle was what I prided myself on for years. Now as a supervisor I've had to loosen the reigns on the people I have come up through the ranks with in order to achieve the day to day goal of getting pilots and passengers on the ground safely (winning the game). -I still get the occasional adrenaline high that I used to when I was a line controller but now I mainly sit in an office and coordinate with outside agencies. I've moved up from the dark radar basement that was my home for many years, now I get the challenge of relying on other individuals to ensure the controllers that I work with have the best equipment and software available to continue their excellence; to fly, fight and win. I may ask a lot of the airmen around me; however, I will do anything within my abilities to make sure they are not taken overlooked or taken advantage of in anyway. United States Air Force
