In my hometown of Saint Paul, I have worked on a GSA Advisory Committee to improve the environment for LGBT students in St. Paul Public Schools and interned at the St. Paul Domestic Abuse Intervention Project. I have also been a remote volunteer on Critical Resistance Oakland's prisoner phone line and interned at Strategic Actions for a Just Economy in Los Angeles. Currently, I am an administrative assistant at the Goddard Riverside Community Center's Star Learning Center. I also co-organize sliding scale tango classes at the Manhattan LGBT Center--supporting community health and connection while making space for historically marginalized individuals in tango. Identifying things that aren’t working or aren’t serving people the way they should and getting to work changing those systems energizes me.
