Pascal Wild’s Expertise As an associate Professor at the School of Management Freiburg (University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland), my research focuses on the internationalization of SMEs and international entrepreneurial activities. I am a board member of the scientific program on appropriate technologies for a sustainable development from the Rectorate of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO), member of the RCSO scientific committee, and an author of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Report on Switzerland. I collaborated in various national and international projects (e.g. Innosuisse – Swiss Innovation Agency, Interreg Europe, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC) leading me to different countries in Europe, Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. I am actively teaching graduates and undergraduates in small business economics, international entrepreneurship and research methods for business sciences and publish peer-reviewed articles and book chapters (Advances in Entrepreneurship Firm Emergence and Growth, TIM Review, Springer, Edward Elgar). Prior to my academic career, I worked as an authorized auditor (Swiss Federal Audit Oversight Authority) for a Big 4 as well as for an SME and co-founded three companies (stock corporations and LLC’s) in the service sector. I am holding a PhD in Socioeconomics from the University of Geneva, an MSc. in Entrepreneurship from HES-SO and attended the Wharton Global Faculty Development Program for PhD scholars and faculty members.
