Patrick Young’s Expertise Patrick is currently doing research in stellar astrophysics and the production and distribution of nuclei over cosmic time. This involves studying stellar evolution, nucleosynthesis and hydrodynamics through numerical simulation, including parallel computing on a variety of architechtures, as well as observational astronomy. He is also involved in education and public outreach. He is an assistant professor at the Arizona State University School for Earth and Space Exploration, which brings together transdisciplinary expertise in the physical sciences and engineering to facilitate exploring the universe from Earth's interior to the edges of the observable universe.
