In my most recent position I performed the following tasks: •Designed, conducted and coordinated experiments for multiple projects to characterize two recently discovered chains of type VI collagen (Focus of an NIH RO1 grant) •Managed, trained and coordinated the work of rotating and visiting research staff, including: PhD students, volunteer researchers, summer interns, and technicians •Wrote manuscripts and grants and served as a reviewer of manuscripts •Contributed ideas and technical expertise for other projects ongoing in the lab and in adjoining labs •Organized and presented work at lab meetings and also at national and international conferences •Was responsible for general lab management including ordering reagents, maintaining existing equipment such as cell culture incubators and general lab instruments, setting up new equipment, establishing safety procedures and validating new protocols I also have some experience in lecturing and would be happy to further expand this aspect of my repertoire should the opportunity arise.
