Paul Nestor’s Expertise I have developed an expertise across many areas of taxation including corporate restructuring and advising on inward and outward investment. I have gained over 20 years experience in the Taxation sector. Having trained with KPMG I was appointed Manager in that organisation and worked on a number of significant multinationals. I was seconded to the transfer pricing unit of Diageo Plc in Dublin for 6 months. In late 2005 I was appointed as a Director with BDO and was appointed Partner in 2007. I assist the Investment and Development Agency (“IDA”) in the Limerick region, a government agency tasked on sourcing inward investment into Ireland, by advising potential new companies to Ireland on the taxation implications on inward investment. I possess extensive experience on advising on intellectual property structures to avail of appropriate reliefs and the research and development tax credit. I lecture for the Institute of Taxation and have given seminars on their behalf to the Department of Finance and other representative bodies. I was also placed in the top 3 in the Institute of Tax exams. I am co-author on the ITI publication "Practical Income Tax - The Professional's Guide", released in September 2017.
