Paul Vaillancourt’s Expertise I have more than 30 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, marketing PR, sponsorship management and crisis management. Event planning and logistics are, on the other hand, my forte. I have had the pleasure of managing great accounts over the years, such as the The Mylan Relay for Hope (account director and in charge of logistic for this 40-runner cross-country run), the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (IndyCar), the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival, and the Bridgestone Canada account (2000-2010). In the course of my career, I forged solid relationships with media. My rapport and credibility with media across Canada and the USA, have consistently resulted in positive coverage and strong visibility for our clients and their brands. Many of my mandates have been international in scope, including managing several special events of international scale, such as the 1997 mega welcome-back press conference at the Molson Centre in Montreal for Jacques Villeneuve’s return from Europe as the new Formula One champion, the inauguration of the British American Racing factory and the introduction of the new F1 team in Brackley (England). I gained experience in the corporate field before working for a communications agency. I began as media services manager with Le Manic de Montréal soccer team (owned by Molson Breweries). I then became promotions manager for Molson Québec and then Molson Canada, where I managed several of the company's major programs, such as the Molson Indy, World Cup Freestyle Skiing, the Montreal Jazz Festival and Molson's national team sponsorships leading to and at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. I am a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a B.A. in communications. Je travaille dans les deux langues officielles du pays.
