During a previous residency in London in the 1990s, I worked in the hospitality industry as an assistant Pub manager in London's busy West End. I’m frequently complimented on my people skills by managers and colleagues. I would love to return to Europe if a suitable opportunity arose, particularly in southern France. In my spare time I’m a keen surfer and creative writer. While in the UK I took the opportunity to attend creative writing classes at Kingston University. My stories are inspired by my unique workplaces and the many colourful characters I've encountered. I have read my work to public audiences and some of my short stories have been published.
