I have returned to my roots practising corporate law with a special interest in M&A, private equity and venture capital, and acting as a fractional general counsel. I have been fortunate to be recognized by a variety of national and international professional legal guides and awards, including The Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, in areas such as M&A, private equity and venture capital, and corporate mid-market. I have helped clients raise over 1.5 billion in private capital and complete over 50 billion in M&A transactions in my career, including acting for Molson Inc. in its business combination with Adolph Coors Company, which was the Lexpert Cross-Border Deal of the Year. I also have a strong interest in politics and government. Through my studies prior to law school and continuous learning, I have a deep understanding of politics and in particular why and how politics is important for understanding the world we live in. This is very important for understanding the energy industry. When I'm not working I love to ski and hike in my amazing backyard playground of the Rocky Mountains, ride my bikes and spend time with my son.
