From 2012 onwards I worked in Indonesia assisting the Director General of Taxation on a number of issues - preparing and delivering Transfer Pricing training, technical assistance, advice on drafting Tax Regulations, Advanced Pricing Arrangements and Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP) policies, reviews of legal issues, etc. I worked in the Australian Tax Office (ATO) up to 2009 and I was been involved in Transfer Pricing (TP) since 1989. The TP work was initially as a TP auditor before being transferred to the International Area in the 1994. I was a senior member of Competent Authority teams on MAP and bilateral APA discussions with Japan and Korea. I also acted as the Competent Authority on MAP and APA cases with Korea. In the ATO I was involved in management of a number of bilateral APA cases and provision of technical advice and assistance on audit cases and Double Tax negotiations. I was the head of the ATO Transfer Pricing Training program (over 8 years) with delivery of TP training in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and Papua new Guinea. From 2010, I worked with Ernst & Young (as a part time consultant) and later on with KPMG (Senior manager) specializing in Transfer pricing issues. In 2010 I provided assistance to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (training and technical assistance) through AusAid program. From 1984-1988, I was seconded to the Special Prosecutor's Office (later Director of Public Prosecutions) to work on the "bottom of the harbour" tax schemes as well as other potential criminal activities to take to court.
