I have developed HSEQ functions, including the implementation of 18001 (45001) Safety Management Systems and led several initiatives and projects to improve safety, not only for the organisations I worked for, but also wider industry, by working with clients and suppliers on a range of health and safety challenges including working at height, lone working, confined spaces and the installation and testing of high-pressure systems. Currently at the RNLI I lead change in delivery of SHE training and engagement to build trust and promote a culture where people feel comfortable sharing learning. This is important so that we can understand work done versus work as imagined and put measures in place to enhance the system that keeps our people safe.
