She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She is also an alumnus of the University of Botswana. Otlaarongwa serves on the National Co-operative Development Coordinating Committee (NCDCC), a committee responsible for alignment of the cooperative agenda to national, regional and global covenants. She is also a member of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Trade Facilitation Reference Group, her main responsibility within the group is to provide expert advice in terms of available economic empowerment opportunities to SMEs in facilitating their participation in the AGOA market.
