Currently, I am working in Academic Affairs, which houses the Vice President of Cerritos College, Vice President of Student Services, and Dean of Academic Affairs. Although,my title is not fancy I feel my role is important as I assist senior level administrative by providing guidance and prioritizing specific work assignments. I found myself as a person while attending and working at Cerritos College. I started off as a work study student and taught myself how to effectively manage my time as a student and employee. What I love most about working for a college is seeing students on the first day of school confused and scared, and by the end of their last semester the student have become more confident and determined in their career paths. It is wonderful to see students accomplish something they probably doubted in the beginning of the semester ,since attending school always felt like a never ending cycle. Eat, Study, Sleep. Repeat. I have my BS in Business Management and plan on returning to school for my MBA. My goal after completing my MBA is to teach a few course at community college. My favorite subject while attending school as an undergraduate was Leadership and Diversity. I enjoyed it most as i hope to one day be an effective leader and I truly value diversity in the workplace. Cerritos College
