This would normally involve creating AutoCAD drawings, creating spreadsheets of technical data and writing user manuals for the operation of the specific bespoke system. • Client training – Provide client with technical training and explain the operation of their system in detail. • After sales support – Provide on and off site (remote access) support responding to the clients requests and resolving any technical issues.Field Engineer: Main duties within this role included the commissioning, servicing and maintenance of Dynalite equipment and systems in accordance with the customer’s specification requirements and Dynalite guidelines. Specific duties: • Oversee the installation and maintenance of Dynalite products to ensure their efficient performance. • Maintain goodwill with customers during installation of new products, or during service on existing sites. • Promote the sale of Dynalite products to existing and potential customers. • Provide technical advice and service on the use and application of Dynalite products. • Maintain liaison with sales representatives and keep them up-todate with developments, advising of new customer opportunities and complaints. • Advise management of service complaints and where necessary effect appropriate remedial action in consultation with management. • Provide regular feedback of information to management.Network Engineer: Working on Government secure networks (LAN & WAN). • 1st & 2nd line support. • Installation and maintenance of IT & Telecommunications equipment, also network equipment & infrastructure. • Installation and testing of copper and fibre cabling. • Troubleshooting faults on equipment and infrastructure. • Admin, management and troubleshooting faults on Windows NT4 and Windows 2K networks. • Installation of and troubleshooting of Windows 9x, NT4, 2K Pro/Server and XP pro Operating Systems. • Updating and making alterations to AutoCAD14 drawings and Archibus (Oracle) database. Documentation of installations and procedures.The Royal Engineers provide civil and combat engineering support to front line operational/civilian deployments, worldwide. Responsible for delivering and supervising electrical design and services to global military/civilian construction projects.Sales Engineer Audio Visual Main Duties: • Responsible for field promotion and application support of Dynalite products in the UK Audio-Visual sector. • Achieve allocated sales targets and margin objectives. Build, maintain and manage a strong Dynalite presence within the Audio-Visual sector. Specific Duties: • Visit prospective AV and Custom installers to demonstrate the performance and suitability of Dynalite products. • Strategically pursue and secure new AV dealers to build and maintain an accredited dealer network throughout the UK. • In consultation with management regularly plan field activities required to achieve department objectives. • Support dealer open day exhibitions and similar customer focussed activities. • Assist with the planning and co-ordination of AV-specific Dynalite product and software training, both in-house at dealer premises, and group presentations at a hotel location or at the Westerham office. • Advise the company of specific training needs for the AV sector. • Provide product application, technical and commercial assistance to the AV dealer network, and their key customers. • Contribute to the preparation of visual sales presentations. • Contribute to regular mailings, email newsletters and web-based promotion to the AV-industry. • Maintain the AV database by ensuring all new AV contacts are added, and the database is regularly cleansed of erroneous contact information. • Conduct regular new product and concept presentations to key AV dealers, specialist AV consultants and residential specifiers and developers. • Prepare comprehensive quotations to support AV projects, covering product requirements, schematics and pricing. • Investigate technical complaints and recommend appropriate solutions. • Provide monthly reports to management on business development within the AV sector, market place movements including product opportunities, and competitor activity. • Help resolve any credit control issues.Lighting Technician: Working as a project engineer worldwide on industrial, commercial, residential and marine (Cruise ship) projects.
