  While working on my Master’s in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo (UB), I got obsessed with Operating Systems and Security. This led me to my current role as a Software Engineer for the Secure Systems Group's OS Security team at Qualcomm. I work on the Windows on Snapdragon (WoS) Qualcomm chipsets which involves writing TrustZone, UEFI and HLOS applications, drivers and services. I have worked on various security features like Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM) using High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) and Output Protention Manager (OPM), Bitlocker, UEFI Secure Boot, Memory Overwrite Request (MOR), Physical Presense Interface (PPI), Trusted Execution Environment (TrEE) driver, Secure Channel Manager (SCM) driver, etc. My work here involves working across the security boundaries for things like key management and transfer, providing security services in various OS layers (TZ, UEFI and HLOS), sharing buffers and memory between secure and non-secure worlds, allowing restrictive accesses to critical security features, image authentication in various boot stages, communication with entities like the Qualcomm Secure Processor Unit, peripherals, hardware etc. Most of the code I write at Qualcomm is in C/C++, with scripting certain things in Python, Powershell and batch when required. I have worked on a number of programming projects in C, Java and Python, among others, as part of the different courses I took at UB. I was the leader in the Operating Systems (Spring 2016) assignments at UB: https://test161.ops-class.org/leaders. I worked part-time as a Grading Assistant at UB for the course Introduction to Computer Security. I also won the 2nd Runner Up prize at the New Era Hackathon 2016 for the project titled Cappr. Before my Master's degree, I worked at BNY Mellon, Pune, in the Entitlement Management Service team. I was a back-end developer in the team and helped develop and maintain modules for several projects including development of online modules, stored procedures, batch jobs, formulating and optimizing SQL queries.
