In addition to my research I also worked on a project sponsored by the Cardiac Surgery division at Medtronic as part of a graduate level course- New Product Design and Business Development.I had the opportunity to have worked directly with experienced professionals from Medtronic. The project involved developing a method for minimally invasive access of the heart. I was the acting team leader and this added invaluably to my experience.
