While the main profession at such a beautiful place is tourism and government jobs, I was inspired by computers and technology in my early academic life. With my grades and engineering entrance test score, I was able to get admission in Computer Science and Engineering major at the college of my choice. My professional career started in the Telecom industry. I worked with a South Korean company "Daewoo" in India for 3 years, and later came to the United States in 1999 to work on an exciting Y2K project. After receiving my green card in 2006, I joined by current employer, Broadcom Inc. In my current role at Broadcom as Senior Manager, me and my team support a very valuable customer of ours. In the last 8+ years in this role, me and my team has increased the customer's use of Broadcom chips on their video devices from less than 5% to 100%, and on Broadband devices from 0% to now more than 60%. I am proud of these accomplishments, but it requires a lot of dedication and hard work. The mutual trust that I have built with the customer is priceless. I have another passion - to grow my leadership and interpersonal skills on a daily basis. A recent PMP certification from PMI has helped me to progress on this goal. But I consider it to be a lifelong learning. I love to attend seminars, conferences and webinars that fit in my balanced lifestyle. This provides me a wonderful opportunity to connect with people and learn from experts. I also love to read and travel with family. I like to treat people with respect and dignity.
