Rathakrishnan Bhaskaran’s Expertise My expertise is in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics, with focus on research and development of high-fidelity computer simulation models for understanding both fundamental and applied fluid flow phenomena. Currently I work in the turbo-machinery industry, pioneering high-order numerical prediction methods for industrial applications. I have recently been exploring the use of data science and deep learning methods with LES data sets to improve flow prediction outcomes for industrial design tools. I specialize in the following: * Aero-thermal flow prediction, using a variety of tools from simple 1D models, to 3D unsteady methods, including RANS and LES. * Develop high-order structured and unstructured algorithms for LES and DNS. Build in-house, massively parallel, high-order, structured and unstructured LES solvers in C++ and Fortran 90. * Identify flow problems which can benefit from higher-fidelity approaches such as LES and champion their appropriate use by the business. My skill-sets include the following: * Numerical methods: High-order compact and central difference schemes, high-order unstructured DG / Flux-Reconstruction schemes. * Programming: C++, Fortran 90, Python, MPI, OpenMP. * Commercial CFD and Meshing software: Ansys CFX/Fluent, ICEM CFD, gridgen, gmsh, autogrid, Unigraphics.
