Experience: Administration & Implementation of Core LINUX (8 years) & Virtualization (1 year in VMware) setups. In depth understanding of supporting technologies: Optimization Tuning, High Availability configurations. Knowledge of local and remote computer system diagnostic tools. Experience with large-scale enterprise projects. Hands on delivery in a client facing environment. Understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS, physical datacenter practices. Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of methodologies for developing, building and configuring a system. Awareness on monitoring tools like Nagios etc. Awareness on ticketing tools implemented on basis of ITIL process (incidents, changes, problem etc.) NFS administration, SAMBA and FTP administration Virtualization - VMWARE ESXi / Apache Server Administration / Experience on RHEL 5 / 6 and Ubuntu Linux. Experience on handling remotely task related to hardware changes on server of HP/Dell/IBM Process & Documentation: Prepare and maintain systems documentation in accordance with ITIL policies and procedures. Manage and control the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure it meets customer and ITIL standards and operational requirements Preparing documents knowledge database, work instructions etc.. Working knowledge on ticketing tools Assisting & training team members on new technology & provide knowledge transfer to the team. Experience in generating reports & doing call analysis
