  BACKGROUND I have been privileged to have had a number of rich educational and professional experiences in my career. These have included teaching medical and health courses, performing research and working as both a clinician as a clinical fellow, specialist physician and public health manager in Asia and Scotland-UK (MD, MPH). I’ve also had the pleasure of collaborating with the WHO on numerous projects, and serving as an expert, specialist and senior scientist (MSc epidemiology and PhD) in UK and Canada. RESEARCH I have authored 6 books, and published over 250 articles, editorials and abstracts (i10-index of 67 (July 2019)) in peer reviewed journals including BMJ, Lancet and Nature. I have collaborated in developing six WHO, and many governmental documents, and presented scientific lectures in 23 Universities. I have also acted as the principal investigator of two WHO & IRCT registered randomized controlled clinical trials, and 3 registered randomized controlled clinical trials by the National Research Ethics Committee, Scotland. TEACHING & MENTORING I have supervised and mentored 29 MD, 8 Specialists, 9 PhDs, 11 MPH, and 9 MSc thesis and residents in different countries. Currently, I act unpaid as the editor in chief for Asia Pacific Journal of Medical Toxicology. KNOWLEDGE TRANSLATION I publish a Blog BC Toxicology News Monthly Bulletin (BCTOX) dedicated to environmental toxicants and biological (carcinogens) that impact the population of BC. BCTOX is popular and shared with over 5,000 health and environmental professionals, as well as physicians and scientists mainly in BC. BCTOX is privileged to work in close collaboration with a large group of physicians and health professionals. Since 2015, we have received 34 letters of recognition and thanks. SCIENTIFIC LEADERSHIP as a president, director, manager or PI, I have managed and supervised many scientific research, educational and professional teams at local and international levels. FAO
