Main research and training areas since 2010: (1) use of NPS and hallucinogens; (2) the reduction of drug-related risks and harm; (3) drug users' rights, discrimination against drug users, and drug policy reform. Main Work since 2017: 1) 3D co-directors acting as consultants on drug issues to TV dramas, including on set of Patrick Melrose TV drama (Sky TV, 2018), based on 5 books by Edward St Aubyn, and starring Benedict Cumberbatch (won Bafta for Best Actor). Other TV drama consultancies include Giri/Haji, Sex Education, Peaky Blinders and Unforgotten (2022); 2) Consultant to law firms on court cases and parole reviews involving drug offenders (expert witness); 3) Publishing and uploading a series of articles related to addiction, NPS, and harm reduction; 4) Writing an autobiography of my life as a researcher in the drugs field (Intoxiphobia); 5) Freelance research and consultations on drug use, for various agencies; 6) Research Associate to Release - from March 2022.
