This gave me an opportunity to educate and help moms through their breastfeeding journey's and explore an area that I am passionate about. During 9 of my 10 years at CMDHD, I have worked with the Michigan Care Improvement Registry or MCIR system as a part of the immunization program. I am very passionate about vaccines and how important they are for our health and future. In 2012 I was actually trained so that I could start working and training our local medical providers offices on how to effectively use the MCIR system and keep flawless records of their vaccine inventory. As quirky as it may sound, I love the system and the data entry that goes along with it. I am fascinated with the ability to track down doses that didn't transfer properly or were input incorrectly. It's like a puzzle and I love solving a good puzzle. Overall Public Health has been a blessing in my life and along my clerical journey. I could not ask for a better career. Going to work everyday at a job you love and providing services that you believe in is extremely fulfilling. Clare County
