Scott Carroll’s Expertise With over 17 years of experience in data analytics, AI, and machine learning, I am a seasoned sales leader who consistently delivers double-digit YOY growth for enterprise software companies. Most recently, I led Tableau's largest regional sales team, a Salesforce company that helps people see and understand data. At Tableau, I defined the sales strategy, managed a team of senior field account executives, and drove sales and growth within enterprise customer accounts and prospects nationally. After the 15.7 billion acquisition in 2019, I successfully navigated the Salesforce integration, retaining and adapting my team while achieving new revenue goals and defending the customer base. I was recognized as one of the top three sales vice presidents in the Americas in FY23 after leading the only positive YOY growth team (28%) in 2020 in the North American vertical. I also coached and mentored extended teams supporting the direct selling team, including systems engineers, marketing teams, inside sales teams, customer support AEs, services selling AEs, and renewal AEs. I developed and implemented field go-to-market strategies and programs for new customer acquisition and expansion plays within the assigned territory. I have hands-on experience negotiating agreements and demonstrated success in building and leading sales teams and territories. I have the highest average tenure per AE of any regional sales team in the eastern half of the US. I have excellent pipeline building, pipeline management, and forecasting skills, as well as the ability to manage a book of business. I have led the strategic sales teams working with the largest and most established accounts and the "land" teams in the enterprise space.
